Happy Father’s Day.

Happy Father’s Day.

No one loves you like your Daddy. They think you are beautiful and smart and perfect …. no matter the truth. LOL

Then.

And now.

IMG_1075[1]

We just spent a whole week together entertaining/loving on 6 littles ones.  We felt like Lucy in the Vitameetamejamin show.

Sheesh. We needed some vitamins!

I loved catching him in stolen moments with my two little ones.

Gathering sticks for a marshmallow roast with her.

On the porch rocking and singing to him.

Or watching them watching him finish with the mowing so that we could move on to the next activity.

Precious time. Precious memories.

I can’t forget the father of my own children on this special day!

What a great Daddy he has been! His little girl loves him.

And her little girl adores him. (photo taken as we arrived home from hospital 3 1/2 years ago.) Now little man, who looks like his Pop, will leave me in a flash when Jeff walks into the room and I know it will be the same with number 3 who is on the way. We are richly blessed.

But even the best earthly fathers make mistakes and fail at one time or another. But there is One who never makes a mistake, never leaves us. Never forsakes us. Never has given a single word of bad advice. And it is that Father from whom we all draw our strength.

In the words of Chris Tomlin:

You crush the enemy Underneath my feet You are my Sword and Shield Though troubles linger still
Whom shall I fear?
Chorus:
I know Who goes before me I know Who stands behind. The God of angel armies, Is always by my side. The One who reigns forever, He is a Friend of mine. The God of angel armies, Is always by my side
Verse 3:
My strength is in Your name, For You alone can save. You will deliver me. Yours is the victory
Whom shall I fear? Whom shall I fear?
Chorus:
I know Who goes before me. I know Who stands behind. The God of angel armies, Is always by my side

Bridge:
And nothing formed against me shall stand. You hold the whole world in your hands. I’m holding onto Your promises. You are faithful. You are faithful.

Thank you to all of Abbas in my life. I love you all.

    Cindy,
So sweet – amazed that you caught such good pictures with all the “activity” we had. I missed them as soon as they were all gone. The kids really enjoyed MC and Ford – of course, Briggs wants to know when MC can come back. I loved the picture of her feeding him a strawberry – his parents did, too! I have enjoyed telling friends about all the crafts/activities that you brought to keep them busy – such creative ideas and a definite hit with the crowd. I enjoyed you being here – we will do it again when we get rested!! Donna
