Mermaid Cottages- A Few Of My Favorite Things

So if you haven’t figured it out yet there was much to love and much to miss about the Mermaid Cottages and Tybee Island but alas, it is time to move on. If you missed the last few post go here, or here or here to read about all there is to do and see on this amazing little piece of paradise. I am wrapping it up today with some of my favorite pictures that haven’t fit in so far.

Don’t miss the next few weeks, I have so much to share with you! Everything from a great new restaurant design to a sneak peek at next season’s fabric line to projects, it’s a jam packed month!

For now, farewell sweet Tybee. We love you. Let’s go Heather. Back this baby up and let’s tour the island.

Breeze Inn But Prepare To Stay A While

Today on part III of my Tybee Island posts I get to write about the fun stuff—the cottages!!! I told you that “the ladies” and I got to stay at best-selling author Mary Kay Andrews’ house called Breeze Inn. Today, I will show you why I was so excited about that. (Although every blogger there claimed that they had the best house. Guess you just can’t go wrong with a Mermaid Cottage!)

Meet Breeze Inn all decked out in her tropical coat of turquoise and white.

The hot pink necklace of a front door just screams, “Come inside and see the good stuff!”

So we obliged. 🙂

Passing through that pinkalicious door this is the first thing you see:

After four days we were still finding little surprises that delighted.

How great is this chest? I never did remember to ask MKA if she found it like that or if she painted it. I would not be surprised to find out that she did.

Let Me Plan Your Tybee Vaca!

I just spent a surreal 5 days with sweet friends and 19 lifestyle bloggers at what was dubbed The First Annual Tybee Sleepover. Hosted by author Mary Kay Andrews, Mermaid Cottages and Rhoda from Southern Hospitality blog, we were wined and dined and generally spoiled rotten the entire trip. I will give you an overview of the trip and what you don’t want to miss on your trip to the adorable island of Tybee. Ok, basically, I will just plan your must take Tybee vacation for you. Deal?

The morning that we left, KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms wrote a post on a new app called Waterlogue and apparently the whole world read it because Instagram blew up that morning with everyone’s pictures turned into watercolors. We had to get in on the action; so, here we are tooling down the road…. all waterlogued. LOL
