Castles in the Sand Beach House

 

I spent last week helping my sweet friend, Judy, finish a jaw-dropping duplex at the beach. We didn’t finish but got close enough to give you a sneak peak. Keep reading! There is a surprise announcement in a moment.

 

The houses are called “Castle in the Sand East”(the turquoise side) and “Castle In the Sand West”(the white side). Each side has 5000 sq ft heated and cooled, 1300 sq ft of covered balconies and a sun deck with private heated pool. Each side sleeps up to 26 guests. 9 bedrooms, 8 full baths and two half baths. Each master bedroom has it’s own private balcony facing the water. There are four per side!

Well…. wait for it…… IT CAN BE YOURS!!!

That’s right. At the end of this very long post, (hey, it’s hard to cover 10,000 sq ft of wonderful) I will  give you a number to call and you can choose which side you would like to rent or heck… take the whole thing and you will have room for all of your best buds and most of their kids!

Actually, for those of you who head women’s ministries this is an ideal setting for a retreat.

Most people don’t have kitchens this nice in their main residence. Pay attention. Two stainless steel refrigerator/freezers,

two full dishwashers, double ovens, six-burner commercial cook top, two microwaves, two coffee pots.

 

 

 

This is view from the dining room and pool on the west side. Oh, did I mention that each side has its own heated pool overlooking the gulf?

When the sun and surf leave you ready for a nap, you will be thrilled to return to one of the luxurious bedrooms. I can vouch for this one. The beds all have top quality mattresses and each room is unique.

Every bedroom has its own bathroom, most with double sinks and all with a large walk-in shower or spacious soaking tub.

Let’s head upstairs to the second of three floors. I flipped over the limestone floors, plank walls and pine steps. No expense was spared in the finishes.

 

You like bunk rooms? We’ve got bunk rooms…. four of them, I think. With 18 bedrooms, it was hard to keep up.

 

 

Have a child who really needs to sleep in the room with you? Not a problem. Choose a room with a trundle daybed.

You’re at an amazing beach house. Quit your crabbin!

 

 

Meet Herman. He’s my bud. Many of the rooms are themed by sea animals: turtles, crabs, octopus etc.

 

I am about to give you that number. Yes, I will go with you if you have an extra bed and I will even make you feel good by saying this to you every morning!  Thanks for letting me play a small part in this amazing project, Judy. I loved it!

 

Oh, and you just wouldn’t even believe what the government required for this little dude. But that’s for another day.
