I met Rhoda from Southern Hospitality at The Chapel Market last year and what a sweet heart she is! Rhoda was one of pioneers of the blogging world so when she emailed me yesterday to say that she was writing a feature on me today you can imagine how honored I was. I haven’t even seen it yet so jump over to Southern Hospitality with me and let’s check it out! Thank you so much Rhoda.
Rhoda is the beautiful blond in front with the black top on. She just looks like she would know a thing or two about Southern Hospitality doesn’t she?

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Rhoda, from Atlanta, GA and I love decorating and DIY projects.
Decorating a home doesn’t have to cost a fortune
and I’ve spent years thrifting at antiques markets and yard sales, finding those treasures
that make a home unique.
I’m here to inspire and encourage other women to find their own inner creativity.

I am drooling over the area rug in your fourth picture down. It has rust, cream, green, but a softened shade. It also works beautifully with the brown velvet sofas. May I have more information on this? Which manufacturer made it? Where can it be purchased? Who is the distributor? What is it made of? What is the cost? It is exactly the rug I have been looking for, but I have not yet found. Any information would get greatly appreciated. Please pass my questions along and I can cross my fingers and toes that there is a distributor near Columbia, SC.

I am so glad that you like it. That is actually my living room and it took me forever to find that rug. I will have to dig through a bunch of files to figure out who I bought it from but I can tell you that it is a hand dyed wool oushak from an oriental rug shop in Atlanta. It is not a “program rug” that can be re-ordered but since I found this one there are several companies that are now making rugs that are very similar in coloration. If you email me at cindybarg@knology.net I will give the name and number of someone who could give you information on those. They will certainly be available for drop ship to Columbia if nothing else. Hope this helps!
